The AA Advantage Executive Platinum number with almost no waiting time has ended. Had to wait 16 minutes. Does anyone have the new good number?

According to Wiki in "Starwood Starpoints Transfer To Airline Miles Master Thread" Starwood > Aerplan transfers..."Aeroplan - Names don't need to match. - Usually takes about a day and half to 2 days to transfer."

I live in NY and I don't have their credit card.
Do you have regular Amex MR? If so, do this:
Transfer in 1k points from Amex.
If not, you can always donate 1k miles to charity through Aeroplan.

Any type of activity will extend mileage expiration.

1point per $ spent, so ask any friend there, to enter your number.

You punch in the number at checkout? Good to know for future reference.

Isn't the person's number associated with their cc?

its nothing related to a credit card.

you go in to 1 of the Uniprix branches in Canada, buy for minimum $1 before tax (not an item for .99) at check out you pay by cash or credit card, you provide any aeroplan number, & the account will be credited 1 point per dollar.

Sorry for harping on this but this is all new to me. If only a dollar is spent it will extend the mileage another year? What's Uniprix, a store? I have friends in Toronto. Please let me know. Thanks.

you get 1 point per dollar spent, so since you have a transaction, this will keep your account active for another year.

Uniprix is a pharmacy chain in Canada, selling also many other products.

just make sure, when buying only for $1, that its not .99, it need to be $1 before tax.

I take it it has to be Canadian dollar. Thanks. They say they expire in December. I guess I should wait till like November or earlier?

If you know you have someone, wait till 1 week before expiration date (you can technically wait till day before, but better to give some wiggle room).

Worst case, if you haven't done it by day before expiration, then either donate 1k miles or transfer in extra 1k.

Maybe someone could give me advice. I just got an email from Aeroplan that my 20,000 miles are expiring. They don't have any flights that I'm currently interested in. How can I extend the time?

If I book ORD-FRA and want to add FRA-TLV later on, change fee would be $100 CAD correct? Is that per pax?

How is it that hold times to speak to an Aeroplan rep (and also Air Canada for that matter) are always insanely long!! Its exasperating. Air Canada is a decent airline, why dont they hire more reps its odd

Usually if you call as soon as they open, its not more than a few minutes wait time.

Apologies for the n00b question, never used aeroplan before. If I try to book a flight from LGA - YYZ in a week from now, the price is 7.5k + $70.00 but if I pick a date a month from now its 10.5k + $7.10. Are they cbarging closein fees? I thought AC doesnt.
