Didn't try the past 2 months, but before that I had no issues with VISA cards
it’s a new issue....
Did a booking in Feb it went smoothly using a visa. How recent?
i booked yesterday with a visa and got ticketed
US Visa?
YupTicket status: ticketed May 10, 2020 at 4:28 PM Central Time
Never saw this mentioned here....When booking an award online, if you use a Visa card the reservation won’t get ticketed, you’ll need to call in to get it ticketed. Master and Amex work fine. This happened to me multiple times lately until I figured out the issue.
I think you mix up Avianca with Aeroplan. I had a couple months ago issues with Avianca ticketing and they told me to use an Amex. Not sure if it still applies.
I'm trying to book a YYZ-TLV award and I see availability on Aeroplan's site but it's not showing up on United or Turkish. Does that mean AC didn't release it to partners, or will UA or TK be able to see it if I call in?
If you'd like to cancel any Flight Reward, the fastest way to do so is at aeroplan.com. Due to high call volumes, we are experiencing long hold times at our contact centres. Until June 30, you can cancel free of charge and receive all of your Aeroplan Miles back in your account, plus a full refund of any associated taxes, fees and surcharges on the unused value of your travel
Just heard that Aeroplan is laying off many call center agents temporarily "due to low call volume" and it's the last day for many of them today.Be prepared for longer wait times
You can easily cancel for free online
Some times you can’t cancel online, I had a booking that I needed to cancel and waited on hold 3+ hours.
Aeroplan extended free cancellations until Aug 31. Was June 30.https://www.aeroplan.com/covid-19.do#/
