The AA Advantage Executive Platinum number with almost no waiting time has ended. Had to wait 16 minutes. Does anyone have the new good number?


According to Wiki in "Starwood Starpoints Transfer To Airline Miles Master Thread" Starwood > Aerplan transfers..."Aeroplan - Names don't need to match. - Usually takes about a day and half to 2 days to transfer."

Yup same, my wait was closer to 2 hours but that's no biggie since I didn't have to sit on hold forever

Thanks for the DPs.

I called at 12:30 today and the system wouldn’t even put me in the queue. Called back at 1:10, got into queue, and received call back at 2:30.

Did anyone notice a "U.S. Tax Recovery" fee was added recently?   How can they charge a fee to recover U.S. tax when there is none payable on tickets paid for with miles

It is a fee that they are charging to pay for some bill they got from the IRS. It is what it is.

If I buy a plane ticket with miles which is a non-taxable transaction, I don't see why I can be required to pay tax owed by Air Canada based on its business structure.

If JFK FRA is not on AC metal you should be able to do it, if you can reach an agent. If it involves AC metal it will reprice.
