They’re completely crazy! A phone rep on Friday told me the issue was that the CC needs to be on the passenger’s name.
I rebooked with his CC and it got canceled as well. Just spent over an hour with a brick wall rep who claims the only thing I can do is go to an AC office to get myself verified.
I really need this ticket and would open another account and just forget about the points I transferred but will likely have the same issue.
If anyone has a contact or a way to resolve this, please let me know.
AC has been very strict last couple months.
So i finally attempted to book again through this account. It was for a same day flight for a (real😉) friend, from IAD-ATH-TLV for 40K AC. I checked in and got a united boarding pass, but then got the fraud email. I sent my friend to the AC desk at IAD (as the email requested me to do) and the agents there tried to help. I got a phone call asking me a few questions about the account, but then the desk agents told my friend they can’t issue the ticket.
Luckily, the flight to ATH was available for 40K UA, and I bought him a separate ticket to TLV.
Now when I try to login it says my account is suspended.
What am I supposed to do about this?
