Topic Wiki

-Use VRBO/Airbnb and rent a condo with a private pool

-Try to avoid the larger touristy locations. I.E., when travelling to the Bahamas instead of going to Nassua try a different, more secluded island.

-Try colder destinations (E.G. Canada, Alaska, Mountain areas, etc.)

-Even in warmer areas, non beach destinations are always better (E.G. Arizona, Utah, etc.)

I'm really curious. You wont go into Manhattan?
He for sure should not go to Times Sqaure. I was there yesterday and there were at least 5 ladies walking around in only underwear and body paint t be rest of the place.

Firstly, maybe some people are a little less cautious with these issues?
Secondly, sometimes there are only a few people there, with the possibility of looking away/not focusing on them. (Obviously some people won't be happy with that suggestion.)

That's all I wanted to know.

I thought there is some trick on how to sneak in to the pool at 1 AM when no one is there....  :P

I've had friends who managed to get management to open it for them early so they could go to Mikvah, you may be lucky and get it for a late night swim too... :P

I hope you're talking about mans Mikveh  :P I guess that because there is life guard they will never open it because of safety (not that they care much about your safety but because the premium they will have to pay if something happens ;) )

We actually have used the jacuzzi/pool after hours at a few hotels by shmoozing with the night management.  I keep the lights off.  There is always enough light from the outside to see inside, yet we can't be seen this way.

We've done the same for the gym with the lights on.  Sometimes they will open the gym early for us, but it is usually empty early in the morning and late at night.

Where were you? Most of the pools I've seen have normal folk, wearing normal bathing suits. You might not want to go there but it shouldn't make you vomit

In Israel I've gotten the managers to let me have the pool after hours for a family swim.

What's so hard about going onto VRBO and renting a house with a private pool?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Here's my approach, I speak to the lifeguard right when I come and there are usually specific times when it mysteriously empties out every day which he enlightens me to.

If its a lower end hotel there are usually no lifeguards and you can get in whenever you want (even when its shut )
If its a upper class resort in a non densely populated jewish area the management is usually very accomodating when i explain to them the issue.

Well for someone who cares about this issue and makes the decision to avoid the pool because others are there  and wants to be able to go swimming then they have to decide what's more important to them. Being able to go swimming, or using points.
Also, we all know there are ways to cash out points to use for renting your own property.

A shvim kleid will save many problems (aquamodesta or the like)  u could snorkel in it, swim and hike. Kauai has so many beaches. If ur looking for a guaranteed pritzus free beach go to polihale state park.  It's 12 miles long. But flying to Hawaii without going to other beaches or snorkeling is a waste of time.

As someone pointed out above, hawaii isn't that bad and I'm sure if you stay away from the busy season you'll find plenty of secluded beaches
To give you am example, I was in Kauai in January and we went to polihale beach midday- it was empty besides for a random surfer
