I manage a small insurance agency. (No I don't sell any insurance, never did. At one point I was a licensed agent/broker in over 40 states).

MarkS, do u already have your CPA, or are u waiting till u get your masters first?
don't u only need a BA/BS to go for a CPA?

I think that changed recently and you need a masters now. I have friends that got in just in time for the BA deadline, and others that need the MA.

Correct, now you need a masters to sit for the CPA. I have a BTS (Bachelors in Talmudic Studies). Even when a bachelors was enough you needed to have a bunch of credits relating to business/accounting which none of the mesechtos I learned qualify for!

I will take the CPA exams in about a year when I graduate.

In most states a BA is still good enough, but you still need 150 credits.  Of course any CLEPs, etc. count towards that.
