Wireless card
« on: December 16, 2010, 09:41:50 AM »
I have been looking at all the different deals out there and they all seem to be pretty expensive. Is there a cheaper option available? Virgin Mobile is the cheapest I have seen but even that is too much.

www.sprintrelaystore.com has phones with data-only plans for $29.99 a month. This includes the phone-as-a-modem feature with a 5GB limit.

Oh ok. I looked at the deal and that is not too bad. Will they want to confirm my "disability"?

I doubt it. You can try 'calling' them using a relay service, but I don't think they care. You can always say it's for a relative.

No deal on it. Wouldn't let me continue to check out without being on some type of video conference confirming who I was. I guess they want to make sure you're actually deaf. Back to square one, again.

I need 3 cards and 6 phones for the business I'm starting but the startup costs look to be outrageous.

I saw something on here about paying $400 and getting service for 2 years but it's in New Jersey. Anyone in the Dallas area have this?

Legit, or a scam? If it's a scam you're risking being out your money when they cancel you.

I don't know if it's legit or not. I was hoping that maybe someone here would know. Right now I'm looking at 3 data cards at $59.99 a month for my drivers plus 6 phones and I'm not sure how much that is going to run me but it looks like at least $40 or more each month if I go through my local rep.

The phones are going to be issued to the drivers and I am not giving them internet because they will end up playing games instead of working. If I block internet, I can't tether. At least with the laptop cards, I can monitor what they are doing online.

Some guy in Lakewood. I saw it when I was searching the site earlier but didn't write down the number. It was 347 something or rather. Another one was a 310 number.

Not a bad price but it's not nationwide, which I need. :-\
