Everybody knows that when applying for a cc it causes a hard pull ( or a credit pull ) i was wondering what are the consequences of a hard pull? Will it just lower your credit score with a few points and that's it? Are it may have other consequences as well? Because I had applied for a card and I got my FICO score after that and it even went up with 20 points, so if that's the case I think I shouldn't have a problem applying for an other cc. I'm not so sure about it. What are you people's experience about a hard pull?

No! I know that my score didn't go up because I applied for a card don't get me wrong I just said that it didn't hurt my score and the reason why it went up is because it usually goes up every month if you do everything right

People will just be jerks to you today.
A credit pull generally lowers your score 4-6 points.
However, if other factors on your credit report change, your score may actually go up a bunch! (but it is not the result of the pull itself).

Again! I know that the reason it went up is not because the hard pull ( if yes they I'll keep on applying all day for cards

) I just ask if there is any other thing what a hard pull hurts except of my credit score

How much does yours go up every month ? Mine doesn't really go up, it stays the same.

I'm not so sure about it I just have for 2 months a discover card and I see my FICO score there and since last month it went up 20 points

Sometimes when applying for a credit card, recon will ask why you've applied for so many cards in the last few months. That could be a negative result of many hard pulls.
