I would say that lot is probably better than transaero. And norweigian doesn't include anything in the fare such as carry on or a piece of checked luggage a meal etc..

i know someone who just did it this week- told me it was the best flight she had in years. 2 bags, free wifi, comfortable (787), 55 min stopover total price for a one way ticket a week and a half beforehand was $485. Only negative is no kosher food.

Really when did that happen? If you search on any of their direct flights you have to pay for a single piece of luggage on those routes. Did that change?

Those prices were for flights that were able to originate in TLV, These only work in the JFK to TLV direction.

IIRC the way there is a long stop, like Dan wrote you can make a mini-trip out of it, the way back the stop is a lot shorter I think.

Checked baggage is limited to 2 pieces at maximum 20 kg each for each passenger. Additional checked and excess baggage will be charged extra.

Only Flex fares include a free piece of luggage. Normal fares include ZERO bags.

LOT is definitely better than the other two airlines and you can actually credit your miles to an alliance.

LOT is still a mainline western carrier. They fly the 787 between JFK and Warsaw.

Norwegian is a Budget airline where you can not even get kosher food. They often have good prices, but their lowest fares usually come with nothing added.
