No way Chaim's score only goes from 800 to 780 with a delinquency like that.

My OBC is by far my oldest credit card.  Having it shut down and losing the CL is going to kill my credit score.  And I need to buy a house in 6-9 months.   Made me a lot of money over the years but now it's going to hurt...

IINM if your oldest card is an Amex it won't hurt your score when you close it if you have another Amex open.

IIRC while the account is in dispute it is not used in score calculation.

Yeah but these things showing up on a report 6 months before applying for a mortgage are bad:

- Account closed by bank
- Decrease in outstanding credit
- Average length of credit lowered

Exactly. That's what I'm saying.

Even if it isn't included in the score while in dispute (which may be true), it is definitely reflected on the CR as being >30 days late, as that's reported immediately.
