Yes. Unless the creditor reports multiple times a month, there is no way EX would have the data regarding your spend.

I don't know about amex, but with citi even though I paid my bill before the statement printed, it showed on the credit report under 'high balance' $10,000  this was by the exec card.

Who cares when the statement was printed? Was your balance $0.00 when the statement closed? Meaning you paid off the bill a few days before?

Going to have to find one of my reports. Also IIRC this is not for all creditors. For some reason I am thinking it was total payments but let look into it.

1) High balance is *not* total spend.
2) No guarantee they don't report BEFORE statement prints.

I'm interested to know what you find out.

Chase can report to credit bureaus within a couple days after OR before the statement closes.

Still questionable to me the timing when the statement goes for printing.  Some CSRs say after close date (which makes sense for me), but some CSRs (yes, more than one) actually say printing cutoff is one day before closing date.  Does this make sense to anyone?

Still haven't heard anything from Amex. Statement closing date is 11/8.  It's like laying in a guillotine looking up and them not pulling the trigger.

chase always reports amount paid for this month so one can always see how much you spend even if you bill was closed on $0

If you spend $10K on day one, pay it all off on day 2, and statement closes on Day 30, you're saying Chase reports $10K?

No way.

BOA and Barclays report total payments for the month but Amex does not. This is on EX CR.

AFAIK they would report $0 balance and 10k high credit amt used. Unless you have used, say, as high as 15k in the past on that card, then the high credit amt used remains at 15k
