True to my word you can get the fork out.

Did you stop using the card since the initial closings or you kept doing your thing until you got closed?
I only paid 15% by switching to dansdeals

I stopped and when the statement closed they did the same to the card.
I just found a new supply of forks!

Wow my statement closed already, I received the rewards and paid off the bill... I guess I'm better off shutting down than waiting to try to move more of my CL..  :(

You might be safe but there is only one way to find out for sure.  ;)

I would start spending. If they are going to shutdown cards for a few k MSing I don't see the point of having the card anyway.
True,  but shutdown is worse, isn't it

That is something each member will have to decide.

I would say anything at or below your CL is safe.

If amex closes my card do I lose return protection / warranty for the stuff I bought with that card?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

They told me that you keep it as long as you have any Amex open. I haven't tried it.

In other amex threads, people have had trouble with this.  They were told they no longer had an amex warranty when they needed it.

I had a claim turned down cus I didn't have that card open. In the past I've had claims go through. They changed it now and when you call and ask the reps in warranty department they'll give the correct info. Amex reps tell you the wrong  info and I've shown them that.

American express Notice of Account Cancellat
« Reply #419 on: November 25, 2014, 12:06:53 PM »
got email this morning from American Express

Notice of Account Cancellation

"It appears that you have repeatedly used the reward feature by making purchases that are not consistence with personal family and household use. those purchases are ineligible for rewards under the terms of the card."

I have been with them for couple of years, never late payment, never carried a balance.
However I have used the Amex Blue cash to purchase lots of Gift cards 10-25K per month and I always send money from my bank account to Amex to avoid going over my credit limit.

Called account services and they offered to request account reinstatement 7-10 days wait. but sounded vague and not very hopeful.

CS also offered that I can email rlariskreview@aexp.com  with copies of my purchases and proof that they were eligible purchases.

I used the gift cards to transfer to Blue bird and buy gift cards and pay of my balance and pay off student loans.

Any recommendation/ Help please how to resolve this?

Thank you guys :(
