I have one that. it seems they only want to get rid of unlimited 5% but they haven't done anything about limited 6% (yet). I just wanted to know any insights about if and when they might do anything about BCP, and specifically more than one acct.

I doubt they'll do anything being that there's a limit to how much MS you can do (6K a year at Groceries).

I am 4,500 into a new obc, and stopped because of the shutdowns. If I keep under the credit limit, am I safe long term?

There have been some reports recently is people getting shutdown even when starting just under their CL.

Been striking out on chat and phone on getting my reward balance from a closed account. Chat keeps giving me phone numbers to call. Phone keeps telling me its all forfeited when it's closed.

I understand why it's not smart to MS with this card, but what I don't understand is why it's dangerous to keep it open for regular purchases (and for warranties on things I already bought on it).

Especially as I haven't MSed much with the card, why would amex shut down all my accounts, just because I have this card open?

I don't think they will shut all your cards down, just this one potentially.

People don't want to lose the CL they may have and don't want "account closed by issuer" on their CR.

Warranties work with any open AMEX.

I think this may have been mentioned above, but I'm now hearing confirmed reports that people who were shut down are not able to get approved for other AmEx cards due an "unsatisfactorily maintained previous relationship."
