Many people who cross the street blindly have not yet been hit by a truck...
Bingo.
You're a sitting duck at this point. Not worth it.

That's a long time ago.  Have you been shopping with it since? If you have months of grocery, gas and/or pharmacy of regular purchases, I wouldn't worry.

I expected more from Amex..
gnight
Really?

You have been netting $20k a year for the last 4 years MSing with your BC card and you expect more?

Your sense of entitlement is jarring.

Not 4 years..
What i got makes no difference to how this is handled..  a simple warning before cancelling the account is what i expected. Im entitled to what i got according the terms of the card i did not do anything wrong. Thank you for your useless comment

Why? You abused the card and now these are the consequences.... Not that many others didn't do the same, but nobody else is complaining about it

Sorry to complain...

This is my main card i use it daily for all my purchase s and not for ms. So it is a big inconvenience when they close ur account out of blue without any warning

I don't know how much of a risk your card is in.  But since you don't use it much, you may as well switch to a diff product or close it. (move your credit line to your spg) You won't be losing anything and you'll be protecting your relationship with amex.

Is it worth losing $550?

Just noticed the posts about not being able to apply for amex cards in the future...
I understand your point.

All good things come to an end. This one has been a very long run. Some are still doing massive spend with no end in sight.

Classic and I am impressed. It is not often I would dare give the great one advice but don't ever play cards with me.  ;)

I have this card and am worried like everyone else.  Anyone closed it proactively yet?  If so were u able to still get reward dollars that were coming?   I'm on the fence and feel the end is very near - like dan said....I'm thinking long term.  I'd lose about 1k RD.

Also, do authorized users get black mark as well  if the primary card is closed?

From closing the card before amex does (I assume I'd lose all reward dollars pending if closed).

Not sure that would be the case. Once earned, you should get them.
