The mere fact that your posting shows where you come out on the debate.

So, the question is turned back on you:

Dan is a "deals" blogger. Why should he NOT post about what is objectively a pretty sweet deal?

And lakewood gets killed by DDF anyways. No?

I'm not sure, on the one hand you're absolutely right. On the other hand once he posts it, he kills it for the rest of us instantly...

This debate really extends to all deals that exist in limited quantity. If he doesn't post it, people who read it here or actually (dare I say it) sees the circular will more likely be able to partake. But the point of a site like as AJK says is to share deals.  I don't live in Lakewood and by the time I was able to go (and I tried 2 different stores) and the highest value GC I found left was $100. And I saw Dr. Moose's initial post about the this week's deal.

From my experience - don't bother going every day to the stores that are OOS. Just keep trying other stores and eventually you'll find a good one. Then just pray that no one kills it :)

I didn't go every day to the same store. One day I went to two different stores, neither of which had any higher than $100. But that's not really the point of my post.

I don't mind these deals being posted because while, sometimes I get them, and other times I don't, I don't think that others should not be given the chance at these deals. I understand that a possible response to my comment is that people should get involved in DDF and they will find the deal that way. While that may be true, not everyone is able to "keep up" with DDF.

When gas is cheap enough, anything is driving distance :)

He is one of the few if not the only one that runs a blog and forum. Should he respect a members request not to post something on DDMS?

Was the member the OP? Did other people send in the deal? Is it a well known deal already?

There are different levels of that. Something like the gas points which is easily accessible to anyone with Google or a circular vs. something like a fuel dump or major price mistake is very different IMHO.

I was, and I'm serious if someone doesn't want something on DDMS then posting it on the internet is really not a smart idea. Any other blogger can see it here and post it. It's a silly request is what I am saying.

Do you disagree?
