Changes to Delta award booking after Jan. 2015?

Since I've acrued some delta miles from the last apporama , I looked into award redemptions with delta from Israel:

25k/35k econ/biz roundtrip from Israel to europe seems great! I wonder if there's good availability and what the options are. However , I noticed the "booking before or after Jan. 2015" option. I did do a search to see if Dan talked about what's gonna happen after 01/2015 but the only thing I could find is the 250k transfer limit from the Amex. Any insights whether should wait / book travel now before too late?

What about redeeming with miles? Does it make sense to wait til after or before Jan 2015 to book TLV-eur

Def not. But 70k for biz is interesting.

AA charges 40k/60k RT.
I believe DL adds on YQ for non-USA originating flights. Besides, biz class from Israel to Europe is rarely tru biz class. More often a blocked off middle seat.

You're often better off using BA miles (Air Berlin, Niki), or United miles since they have a lot of partners and no YQ. Or just paying for an economy flight.

AF is 30k RT in Economy and it gets cheaper during their promos.
