I misread your first post.

That's what I ended up doing, but that's annoying when they are already hosted.

Cant seem to get an imgur picture to work on the forum like it used to?

Example..

I then add the .jpg and then the brackets

So in total it would look like this...

Adding ".jpg" to a URL does not an image make.

For your example, this would be the correct link:

I linked to the actual image file, not a page that the image was on. Right click -> Copy image address.

I've been using the app for a while and would click share link and post the picture with no problems, as well as talktalk which used to post the picture as a post vs an attachment like it is now.

Looks like they did an update and killed this method of posting a pic while using the app, was really convenient when using a mobile phone and want good quality pictures with nice resolution vs tapatalk with horrible resolution.

As you can see this post from about a week ago works fine, its the new links they butchered up.

Just yesterday this method worked fine.

ETA: figured it out.

With the help of this...

You can work around that by long-pressing on an image in the app, and tapping "share direct link" What's actually happening here is you are copying links from the "share" menu, which is sharing the entire album or gallery post - this confuses the forum's robots (the ones that actually fetch the image from Imgur) and breaks the bb-code chain.

For example, the share link will show https://imgur.com/a/PtK1TQT [Note the /a/ - this denotes an album link, not a direct link. BB-codes won't be able to pull from this page.] A direct link will show as https://imgur.com/IVp4nZn [Note the URL is entirely different and there is no /a/ or /gallery/ within. BB-codes can pull from this page.]

Click on an image to open it, right click -> Copy image address, paste between IMG tags.

Test. When I tried that before it only worked for me to see an not any other browser. Does anyone see the picture?
