My wife and I are in limbo right now as our 2 year contract ended last month. I'm still working on Verizon to give me 2 free iPhone 5's, waived activation fees, and credit for the taxes and fees (you must pay these up front and they will credit 2 or 3 months later labeled as a good faith credit) to make it a complete wash just as I did 2 years prior. Hopefully, I could pull it off again.
I don't know if I am part of a share plan, but I am checking to confirm today. I do know that I am on the MORE EVERY UNL TLK&TXT with my wife. Is this considered a "share plan?"
Also, our total bill per month inc taxes for unlimited talk and text and 500MB+bonus 1GB data (bonus for 12 months) and including 17% off monthly for industry discount = +/-$120. If we ever go over the data, we would just call to upgrade to the next tier, and do an automatic downgrade at start of next billing period for a prorated amount or sometimes even free. We've just been aware of our data usage, but I seriously would not mind unlimited. I'm just trying to understand if it's worth it as I have to buy 2 phones at or close to retail when I get them free on contract with unl tlk&txt for what I stated above. I assume that this is better for those with children on the same plan or looking to the future when we will be needing more and more data to function. haha Thoughts?

If you're staying under 1-2GBs for both of you now then you won't really see a benefit. This is best for folks that use a lot of data. Or people that live in rural areas and want to get a hotspot. Small business owners that need a hotspot etc. If you truly needed the unlimited minute part of your current plan it would cost you $210 before discount to get unlimited data. So for you, probably not much of a help.

But how can you create a tethered hotspot? The old Verizon Unlimited Data plans don't allow you to tether data.

Yah, I thought so. We've never gone above 2GBs. I think we've only gone over 1.5GBs once or twice. Plus, most places that we are at, we use Boingo (an Amex Plat perk) or I just ask for people's wifi access. My wife and I are small biz owners, and we've never had to use that much. I don't see how we could use so much data unless we use GPS for our road trips. But, we do need unlimited T&T for sure. Thanks for your info.

Are you talking about tethering on a phone? If so then Android FoxFi? iPhone you need to jailbreak.

If you're talking about Mifi then there is also a work around for that.

-1 not that guy, hes a scam. I dealt with him already. All the guy on ebay is doing is selling a referral to a verizon reseller, if anyone wants the info PM but this guy is a real scam. He"ll give you unlimited data, for the small fee of $170 per month, also there are many horror stories about that company online.
