I already disputed the charges made on my CC but for the points I think I can just say good buy.....

Won't the cc just say - they spoke to the airline and it was a legit charge?

the whole selling miles industry seems to be based on a lot of trust
hard to get involved unless you know the person

These guys were referred to me by a good friend who never had an issue with them. I have dealt with them for over a year with no issues until this.
They were telling me that they were going to pay me, dragging it on.
I would have rather them just tell me upfront they have a problem instead of disappearing.

Isn't that exactly what bankruptcy laws are for? So they are NOT liable in the event of bankruptcy.

Not to mention that even without bankruptcy, they're in no way PERONALLY liable for their corporation's debt or obligations.

I think what he is trying to say is that if it's an acquaintance then he will feel bad and probably pay you back even if he isn't legally obligated to.

Assuming he's able to pay back.
When something goes wrong with these sort of business, they can be nice earners one day and get deeply into tens of thousands dollars in debt overnight.

I would suggest that when someone was problems with a buyer he should post it here so other-ones will be more careful.
A lot of people are telling me now that they also had problems in the last few weeks with him, if I would have seen it here I wouldn't be losing now over $5k...
