HUCA waived me a flight change fee!!

wanna share this story with you: I had a flight booked with Delta SkyMiles, and I wanted to change it to a different date, I called SkyMiles multiple times and I was told there will be a fee of about $150 to change the ticket even if there is same availability of miles. but at the fifth time calling, the rep was able to change my flight without mentioning a fee!!

DL reps can be very nice and helpful. Their Medallion desk is great!

I've gotten DL to change tickets with no fee in the past.

I told delta the night before that I was barfing the past 2 days and they let me change an international return flight for free, just the fare difference which wasn't applicable in my case, I booked for 3 months later, could be that my original flight was overbooked anyway so they let it slide, (if it make a difference it was from nyc-st p Russia and paid for with Argentina pesos)

I'm looking to use miles to upgrade to business on a delta flight that I paid for.

I was told that at the price I paid, the ticket is not upgradeable.

Anybody have any experience with this?

as far as I know it doesn't work (I fly delta all the time on paid ticket). though if the flight is operated by KLM you can upgrade at the gate if there's anything available.

It's JFK-TLV, so I don't think its KLM operated.

Unless you are Platinum or Diamond with DL it is highly unlikely they will upgrade a standard economy ticket to business, even at the gate.

You need to purchase at least a M class fare with DL in order to upgrade to business.

I'm platinum but I still don't think it helps in any way
