All children are placed on the wings.
They also have a new policy: "If you don't push the plane, you don't get potatoes!"

I'm flying Azal this week with my family. Does anyone have recent experience with Bassinets or how it is to fly with children on Azal?
I just flew with them last week with 4 kids and it was great. I don't have any in a bassinet but everything else was fine

I'm flying Azal this week with my family. Does anyone have recent experience with Bassinets or how it is to fly with children on Azal?

We flew last summer with 2 kids and a 5 week old. They have bassinets but they gave us a run around when we tried calling ahead and in the airport they said those seats were taken.
No special treat bags/activities kits for the kids. There were a few games on the in flight entertainment and "just for laughs" videos that kept the older 2 busy.

One incident though - we chose our seats several months in advanced and all was fine on the JFK- Azerbaijan leg. On the Azerbaijan - TLV leg they apparently just decided to split all 4 of us up leaving my wife up front with a 5 week old, and my 11 and 6 year old near her but each separate, and me in the back. We did not realize until boarding and they refused to let anyone switch with us  :-[ :-[ "for safety reasons".....

Haha, so try about el al.
But I was standing with my wife holding a 5 week old and explained she needs help before we even got on to see who we were next to. They actually pulled out a seating map to see if there was anything open but they have this crazy security thing and wouldn't even ask anyone (I didn't want to make a scene So I didn't try against their rules).
So I got to sleep those few hours while she had to deal with a crying newborn. Lucky me 8)

Moral of the story- don't rely on pre-booked seats with them, confirm at check-in.

funny, we had the same thing. On the Azerbaijan-tlv leg they had the 6 of us all separate across the plane. I didn't think it was a good idea to have my 2 year old by himself. But they told us to just ask people to switch seats. It was a chaotic few minutes trying to switch 3 seats but we managed.

Azerbaijan Airlines in the last few days re-opened reservation for Baku – New York JFK nonstop service, for travel on/after 05OCT19. The airline will continue to operate this twice weekly, on board Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. Note this route is temporary suspended from 28JAN20 to 01MAR20, a routine seasonal adjustment, identical to winter 2018/19 season.
