Prekistolen picture is breathtaking! Is the trail hard and rocky climbing to get up to there?

Its a 2 hours walk up if keeping up quite a pace. The hard part is that its pretty steep and stairs like with barely a flat part to ease on the legs.

Got any pictures to share of those hard parts?

In the same region in Turkey (was traveling by Quad)
Note the different colors on the mountain in the background.

Cappadocia is a historical region in Central Anatolia, largely in Nevşehir Province, in Turkey. In the time of Herodotus, the Cappadocians were reported as occupying the whole region from Mount Taurus to the vicinity of the Euxine

Saw this in Suave's thread too. Is that the region of קפוטקיא mentioned in Gemarah?

It is really nice. Turkish people speak Turkish.

Just say 'tamam' which means 'okay' or pick up your head from the regular position to a little upward, while lifting the palm of your hand, which means 'no', and you will be fine.

It's mentioned a few times, don't remember anything in particular. It's usually brought as an example of a far away place I think...

Skiing is possible in Turkey.
According to some experts, the snow in Turkey has the best texture for skiing to be found anywhere (I didn't ski there)

Pamukkale
Pamukkale, meaning "cotton castle" in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey. The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water.

Heard about this place. For those who have been to Yellowstone, think Mammoth hot springs on steroids....

Takes quite some time to post, getting late here, plus annoyed that by far the best pictures have myself and/or my kids on it...

Next to Cleopatra's thermal springs, a roman theater that could seat 50,000 spectators (!)
