Like always, the best shots are with me in it.
If something runs normally in the Phils, you know are about to get scammed big time....
It was one of the best road trips of my life, I took a 250CC bike strong enough to hold my friend and I for a long journey. We set out early, found some lost israelies and had them follow us back to civilization. We stopped at the Tarsier place then set off to chocolate hills, only problem is the bridge was closed so we had to take a 4 hour detour through the fields and mountains. Google maps was off by a few KM so we ended up literally driving through mud fields which added time. I made up for it by speeding like a mad man through the hills, we made it to chocolate hills as the sun was setting. I got a flat about 5 minutes from lookout point, it just so happened to be (behashgacha pratis of course) that there was a vulcanizer (tire repair) on the side of the road right there (first and last one we saw on our entire 16 hour ride excluding departure/arrival cities). I stayed to fix and paid a kid to take my friend to the lookout with his bike. The drive back (at night) was AMAZING, rainstorms hit us every 30 minutes or so, so we would stop by a roadside kiosk to seek shelter, we met so many cool locals this way. We passed through a rainforest which had a magical feel to it with the rain and wild animal noises, waterfalls etc. We ended up getting home at 3am. A ride I will never forget IYH.
