Sterling Forest or Mountain Creek  may be good options. I think Mountain Creek has a Triple Play pass for ~$100.

Sterling Forest changed their name to Tuxedo Ridge Ski Center. Search still works fine with sterling forest. There's actually a groupon available right now with decent prices. No groupon though for season passes.

I learned how to ski at Tuxedo Park.. Not far from Monsey.. couple of years back.. if you are a beginner I guess it can work for you too..

Usually on the road to the ski mountain you will see stores that rent gear.. They are usually cheaper than the ski rentals on the mountain... But you have to be willing to shlep... For me I personally rather pay a few bucks more & just put em on & get on the lift...

If you plan on going a few times, it may be worthwhile to do a seasonal rental.

Thanks again, I went to campgaw today and had a great time, friendly service, (very small place, but) perfect for a beginner like me!

I'm also looking for a beginner's place for just a good Sunday activity. Was it for real beginners? (That's what I need 😉.) How much was it?

It's definitely for first timers, i doubt any decent skier would be thrilled there, their beginner packages on sun and wknd are $79 (group lesson) and $120 (private lesson) helmet is separate  ($7)  you can get all the info on the website

Does anyone know of any sites for cheap lift tickets? Looking to go to Windham or Camelback, and Liftopia and Potterbrothers are sold out...
