I had an idea that I wanted to share and get feedback on.
Recently, a relative of a friend of mine was niftar and the family was scrambling to get tickets to Israel for the levaya. Needless to say they paid heavily and only some of the family members were able to go. I can only imagine that had they been creative with points it would have turned out differently and more amicably.
That being said, I was curious if any of the experts on this forum had any ideas on some sort of program that could aid those in that situation. The way I see it, the most frequent situation would need to fly to Israel on short notice for a funeral. Either some protocol could be made on what to do if, unfortunately, one found themselves in this situation or maybe setting up a program where a person can reach out to. Again, I’m pretty ignorant in this area and it could be that either a) this has already been set up or b) not feasible. But I wanted to throw it out.
