fyi for those that did fly with this deal, I just called up AAdvantage CS as I didnt see my mileage had posted and gave my AA record locator and she put the credit through as AA flights (I didn't mention anything about Iberia) thus earning me 100% mileage instead of 30%. ymmv.

Am I better off removing my AA# from the reservation before the flight and then submitting it for credit afterwards?

I had my AAdvantage number on the reservation and it got printed on the boarding passes as well... it is supposed to take up to 30 days to post from iberia so I would just call when you get back and just only mention your america airlines record locator and flight numbers (I got back on a Tuesday and called on Friday).

When I flew they told me it wasn't possible as it's not from the AA ticket stock.
