Does EK release F seats close in? Right now I have the only F seat on an EK 777 reserved.

If DW has an award booked with AS is EK F on the long leg and EK J on the shorter leg, yet the F cabin is empty except for me, would EK let DW sit in F?

Please don't comment on the fact that 1 seat is in J and 1 in F on the shorter flight; at this point it's irrelevant

Well as of now the F pax watches the baby, so she's quite happy in J. As I said, it's not relevant now.

I've seen them allow visitors for meals. Although it was an Emirati couple, not sure if that matters.

ETA: just hang out in the lounge if 380.

I assume it comes down to the crew, no? Isn't there a small chance they'd allow DW to come if the baby is screaming and I can't quiet her?

It's a 777, so no lounge.

. I would say more than a small chance they'll allow. YMMV as always though.

Well I guess we'll see. Problem is even if EK opens up another F seat, AS can't grab it without the first leg being available in F also which it isn't. Sure they can cancel my ticket and hope the seat goes back into inventory, but I'm not taking that chance.
