Personally I would rather burn DL than MR. Not always is the cheapest mileage requirement the best way to book technically.

I don't have any DL miles ( I can't open up Amex delta cards now, since I just recently opened up a bunch of Amex cards ) so I would have to transfer MR. Plus IINM there is a charge to transfer MR to delta.

Alright. Thank you for the help, maybe I'll be able to gather some DL miles in a couple of months, but I'm not transferring an additional 45k MR.

He means he'll end up needing more MR to book Delta than to book AZ.

Right, but once he's transferring MR, why book through DL when u can save 33% by booking through AZ directly?

That was my point to chapshnell, that I'm not transferring the extra mileage, just to book with DL - better CS, and website - and I'll just book with AZ, and deal with the Italian way of life.

Those reps do not represent Italy or anything Italian. You may need to call a few times to find someone competent.

An AF biz flight to TLV available on DL for 140k plus $100, on FB the YQ is a few hundred, not available on AS.

I'd have to transfer into DL from Amex. Any better way?

Thanks
