If I'm seeing a Delta flight from N. America to Europe, for 70,000 miles in Delta One, am I able to book it with another airline? If yes, what would be the best airline to book it with?

I would like to book CX F with BA avios but since it is blocked 6 days before departure and there is a lot availablity in the last days ( QF has it all) is there any workaround to have it booked with BA? Maybe if I book J before there blocked will BA be able to upgrade? I have alaska miles and AA but BA is the cheapest option for me TIA

I guess my question should be the opposite!

Best way from MAN-JFK, as the YQ is allot higher.
Fees are showing as 169 Pounds ($220).
