WHats the best way to book cathay pacific flight jfk to Hong kong?
AA isn't showing availability but I see it on british. Etihad wasn't able to pick up on the direct flight....how do I get it booked?

every airline can only book flights operated by their own partners not their partners partner

Almost never possible to find direct with delta,
You could stop in Paris, Amsterdam ect.

I found availability with BA and put on hold. Im wondering if i can get a better redemption booking it through Iberia. is that even a possibility?

I would like to book a 1st class ticket from JFK or EWR, to Bangkok (BKK) at the December. Using MR  points, what route/airline would l be likelier to find availability?

I would love to fly CX if possible, but AA does not show availability, and I cannot transfer into Alaskan.

Any ideas on any route?

You can search BA or CX for space, then call AA to hold or book.

If using MR, you can transfer to CX or BA to book. Keep in mind the current MR-BA transfer bonus, where you get 1.4 BA per 1 MR you transfer.

cx has extra seats if using cx points. So searching cx will not help if you want to use partner miles. You need to use BA or QF to search

Considering a trip late October NYC to HKG (Canton Fair)
Now looks like (at least on DDF) that flying CX would be the best option.
Upon checking on Awardhocker i see,

a) 100k AS miles, SPG
b) 135k CX miles, MR or SPG

Don't have (at this point) enough SPG only have enough MR but also have enough UR for 140k UA.
