Award hacker is showing KrisFlyer, is that still correct  (b4 I transfer miles)?
YQ fees?
and what the cancellation policy? can I redeposit my miles should I cancel?

UA and AC both wont charge YQ, with AC you will not have to pay close-in fee.

Use AC, no YQ and you can cancel the ticket without redepositing, the ticket can then be used for up to a year.

Is it to risky flight rival time Fri Afternoon JFK is 1PM Business class with suitcase to get to Monsey before shakos of 4:30?

If I book a United flight (e.g., BOS-EWR-TLV) on Amex with Biz Plat points, will I be able to pay cash (presumably on the United website after ticketing) to upgrade from Y to EconomyPlus? Or, do they only offer that upgrade "bundle" when you purchase ticket on United.com?

Economy plus is not an upgrade. It's available as a separate purchase. If booking with Amex it's considered a regular ticket just like any other travel agent
