UA if far out  and no status and AC/LM if close in.
Always praying for delayed baggage.

240k = about $1300-$1400 so if cash price is higher then youre good. You can get a 7 night Cat 1-4 Marriott certificate plus 100k QF  for 330k so your 7 night Cat 1-4 costs you an extra 90k which is good for 7 nights at a 30k hotel...but you can buy them for $475 so not that great a value.

How do you tell the value of the miles?

Meaning, the cash of a flight is $266 RT and the miles cost is currently 16,500 RT

So is that a "good" deal?

TIA
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Deduct how much the taxes would be from the revenue price, then divide the remaining amount by the amount of miles.
So letís say revenue is $266.20, and mileage is 16,500 + $11.2.
Deduct the $11.2 leaving $255, then 255/16500 = 1.545 cents per point.

If you value your points at more then that rate (ie. 2cpp), youíre getting bad value. If you value them at less (ie. 1cpp) youíre getting good value.

JFK - HAN in First Class. I have a variety of points in most major programs. I'm so far strongly considering CX booked with Alaska miles.

Anything more than 1cpp is good for Delta. I'm assuming you're not transferring into Delta?

You definitely won't be disappointed with that choice.
