SQ will be the cheapest around 38.5k each way but will also charge fuel surcharge.

United is 42.5k but will only charge taxes.

Unless i am forgetting something, I believe UA will be the way to go.

It's VERY hard to find United on this route in business.
But you have lots of options stopping in Europe.

Yes. Even taking UA over the water with a connection in Europe still saves you from most of the high fuel fees charged on other airlines.

No. I imagine "Europe" would be hard, since a few airlines are distance based and there are many different places in Europe.
