I could do the math. My question is if lh looks at it like two separate bookings or one with two flights in it.

Had it today with AA, a few flights were avail in the morning, by the time I wanted to book they were all gone.

They may just be holds though, does AA release Y seats closer in?

There's no YQ on AA or UA. If you're referring to the LHR departure tax, that's not YQ.

AA doesn't have any sort of Plan B workaround does it? Seats open but only coach seats available with points.  Any ideas?
