Reason is because you unchecked the other carriers and it's a mixed itinerary.

So have i. Actually have a ticket booked for march, but cant seem to find the flight on AA when it's showing up as an option. Checked every available flight option they gave and its not there

I'm not arguing about availability. I was simply pointing out that in the case of your screenshot AB wouldn't show up unless there was availability for your entire itinerary on AB.
