EK, 85k & $500+

90k AS if you dump it off in DXB.

Maybe VS? VX is definitely not the best way, since like B6 it's dependant on price. Often Y on that route is really cheap, like >$149, so points aren't with it.

Trying to plan NYC-OGG for someone. They only have AA and MR.

Is the best way of doing this: JFK-LAX (J/F) on AA and then LAX-OGG on HA?

Would prefer at least J for part of it. Also don't see anything direct from JFK-HNL. Even if would still need intra-island.

Nothing goes direct to OGG so this way I'd at least have the best J/F from JFK-LAX and could go LAX-OGG.

Those three are your best options. For F I would go with EY and J take QR.

Ugh.  That's what I figured, but I want to have a backup plan for if either of those don't come available.  EK isn't currently available either.  The trip is a long way off and I wanna avoid the new AA chart too.

Book EY as far out as you can and then keep checking and playing with dates.

Look at SQ.

Did that but that doesn't go direct to OGG. So I'd need to do EWR (instead of JFK) -HNL-OGG. That on its own is hard to come by in J for the first leg. Or the more likely EWR-xx-HNL-OGG which adds 2 stops.

I'll probably just do that for QR, since I'm leaving DOH on QR it'll let me take their tours.  No decent options through Europe that have good availability and <100k for F?
