THAT and possibly that they will GET a boatload of miles from the actual flights.  Some flights are not worth using normal mileage redemption (like with super cheap economy fares to Israel right now).

You will get the same exact miles, whether you book a revenue ticket using UR through chase, or whether you sell your UR and book with cash. I'm not sure what you're saying.

There are a lot of people that will NEVER sell miles for a variety of reasons (I'm one and I know Dan is too) so I was just saying why someone might actually choose to just book through UR travel.  When selling is effectively not an option, this can sometimes makes sense.
