EK JFK - MXP is the cheapest with JAL at 50k in F?
If I see availability on Alaska website is that available with jal?
Could I hold my award meanwhile I'm waiting for my spg transfer to go thru?

I looked up on JAL because I was curious to whether one ways are allowed, and they are..
Please share when you book how long it took for SPG to transfer into JAL & how much YQ you were charged. TY

And I'm looking BOS-DUS, not NYC-DUS.  The AB options are not showing up for BOS, at least not that I can see.
I called and AA claims that AB is not releasing to them. Something changed over the last few months and no one is talking.

From TPG
JAL doesn’t impose fuel surcharges for Emirates bookings. Taxes and fees are capped at $78.20 for a round-trip award ticket.

Yes I see it now, interesting.. because on JAL they write half the RT cost but in reality its really the one way distance.
Also it says $78.20 to (DXB) UAE, doesnt say anything about MXP.. Its highly likely its around the same amount, just confirm once booked please

The only issue could be that if it takes around 3 weeks to transfer SPG - JAL the award availability could be long gone by then

Vs the opportunity to fly LH A380 F? I think not.

I agree, go with LH F.

I agree, go with LH F.
Now the question becomes do i use UR for UA, existing AC, or transfer SPG to A3?
As LH F isnt open yet J is pricing 70k UA +62.06, 57.5k AC + 250.06 and i believe A3 is 45k but long transfer times and what will i do with 5k extra in A3

No reason to fly LH J over AB J, so wait until closer in when LH F opens.

Thought so. What about LO J 787 vs LH J 346 and shorter connection for JFK-BUD 6 hours in WAW vs 3 in FRA

it seems like ab started releasing in waves for three months at a time
