Tnx! If they're able to add BA from LHR it should be included, correct?

It would be 90k, I will try & explain...

2001-4000 miles are 65,000 miles in F.
4001-6000 miles are 90,000 miles in F.

MXP-JFK is 3,995 miles.
LHR-MXP-JFK is 4,578 miles.

The small BA flight pushes the rate up by 25,000 miles.

You are better off booking 4k/4.5k BA miles to MXP & start the JAL booking from MXP

I am curious though what would be "if" JAL was able to book BA (OW alliance partner of JAL) and EK mixed on one ressy how the bags situation would work.

1) From where is this list? KVS? Is this E-Ticketing or bagagge IET?
2) I see MH is missing, is this part of the new rule going on?
3) We are also discussing 2 different bookings vs booked as one E-Ticket. I dont see BA checking the bags through to EK in such a scenerio

1) Sabre, bags, as clearly stated "May check baggage to".
2) What "new rule" do you speak of?
3) Makes no difference, if they interline, they can check the bags through.

EWR-LAX. I remember hearing that award tickets open up at the last minute. How many days before the flight so you give up and book a different way? Two days? Five days?

#2, I looked it up, the released the hold on checking luggage to Europe.
#3 youre not right, there is a difference between if its ticketed on one ressy or not. Look it up.

On a side note, I am curious to hear from anyone else if they had success checking bags between BA & EK. From the research I did it didnt look like you can.

Do plan B
I would have preferred using less miles on a coach, nonstop. Plan B is double miles for business.

More important, if I were to go for plan B, what do I do if it doesn't come through? I don't want to be stuck with a long stopover in coach.

Why stopover? If youre willing to fly coach then plan B is for sure something to do
