NYC/PHL to Italy (Rome or other city). For a friend. He wants only in Y, doesn't want to waste miles even though he has 500K+ UR and 200K SPG. I've tried to make him see the light but no dice. Maybe a great J/F cabin will knock his socks off :)). For him + wife.

ITA Matrix shows only AA, DL, and Alitalia with nonstop flights, with IB, Finnair, and BA as codeshares. UA seems to be seasonal only.

What's my best bet? (I had a yetzer hara to suggest EK F JFK-MXP via SPG to AS, but don't think he'll do 90K one way per pax it does seem a bit excessive.)

JFK-FCO on AZ for 50k AF/AZ RT.
