I'm still working on my trip to Hawaii at the end of January.
I realize I have even more reading to do, but I've learned a thing or 2 so far.
Since there are no business saver awards for the days I want to travel.
How about: I book with Singapore on United for random days that have business saver space. Then, closer to my travel dates, when/if saver space opens up, I change the ticket date with Singapore for $20 to the dates I want. If nothing opens up, I cancel and redeposit the miles for $30.
Would this work? a) Is this technically feasible? b) Is united likely to have saver biz available closer to the travel dates?
Is there something I can book as a backup that won't cost too much to cancel if the Singapore tickets come through?
Or should I abandon this plan and try Plan B on united?
