Ord - jnb
Rt
Y or J (Or maybe ow y and ow j)
Economy:
40k UA No YQ
65K NH RT, No way to Avoid YQ, fly UA or AC TATL to drastically lower YQ
40K AA Ow No YQ on QR, low YQ on IB
40K DL ow no YQ on DL and VS

Business.
104 NH RT, No way to Avoid YQ, fly UA or AC TATL to drastically lower YQ
75K ow AC, fly on ET, SA, UA, TK, LX etc to Avoid YQ

Just FYI you can route via GRU on Ua and Sa.

You see saver availability?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Has NH started adding fuel surcharges on EY flights? ORD-JNB would be 104k and add EY fuel charges? I thought there was no YQ on EY through ANA...

Good point. Issue is you cannot combine EY with any other partner so you'd have to find EY availability all the way through.
Re YQ I'm getting mixed reports. You'd have to call in to check.
http://thepointsguy.com/2013/04/ana-award-taxes-and-fees-airline-partner-roundup/ says there is YQ

http://travelisfree.com/2015/05/18/rocking-the-new-ana-miles-award-chart/ says there isn't

They definitely charge YQ on EY. Some routes don't have YQ. IME YQ matches what ITA shows.

My son, studying in Israel this year, has the crazy idea that he would like to visit India. What's the best way to book? He thinks he wants to visit New Delhi.

I have UR, MR(including BizPlat), and Avios.  I also have a small amount of Alaska and virgin Atlantic.  TIA.

Qantas or Elal points on the direct flight to BOM is a good option in economy
