ORD-FRA-PRG
LH J/F

UA is 70K/110K
LH is 52K/?? But I'm trying to avoid YQ
SQ should be 65k/80k will still have YQ right?
LM 63k/INM can't mix classes (and they charge YQ?)
ANA 88 RT but YQ
ETA: AC 57.5 with YQ

PRG-CPH-ORD
SAS J

Same as above should apply?

What am I missing?
Can't do ANA within 4 days so that's out...

Seems like my options are Miles and more with YQ or United without? With about Aegen?

Gee thanks. Anyone else notice the dearth of LH availability. Is that the new policy from LH with partners? J is the new F. 14 days out and thats it?

Looking to book 2 people BDL-CHI ASAP. Revenue tickets are high so hybrid cash option seems to be a no-go. As of now I'm thinking 15k avios. Is there a better option? TIA

ETA: Booked with avios.

Looking to book tickets from Washington, DC to London using Amex membership rewards.  Dates are October 23-29.  Found BA for $594 looking to to see if transfering points is a better option.  I THINK if I transfer to Avios then I can fly Aer Lingus IAD->DUB->LHR for 26k points round trip.  Can anyone let me know if I'm figuring that right?

Pretty sure Aer Lingus doesn't charge YQ.

Keep in mind, MR transfers to avios at a rate of 250:200 so you are taking a 250 point loss per thousand...

BA charges YQ on almost all award tickets.
ETA: you're right, they don't charge on Air Lingus.

So I'm not great with this type of math.  How do I decide if the loss of points is still worth it?  Round trip would cost 26K Avios so I'd be losing 1300 membership rewards points per ticket with the transfer.  What are those 1300 points worth and am I better off using the membersip rewards points to buy the $600 tickets? (I don't currently have the platinum card but may get it anyway soon)

Not sure where you're getting 1300, you'd be losing 6.5k MR per ticket making the cost per ticket an effective 32.5k MR which gives you a value of around 1.8 cents per MR.

Exactly. My point was that you should keep it in mind as it's not always worth it to transfer. In this case it appears it would be. If you have UR, those transfer at a 1:1 ratio which would save you the extra 6.5k points. Just things to keep in mind when checking rates.
