Best way to get NYC-MAN roundtrip without all the crazy surcharges? (Wouldn't mind making a day stopover somewhere else in europe)

VS 454 is not UA90, or LY001, I wouldn't expect everyone to know what flight it is just because it's a TLV flight.
But the answer is no.

I think Dan recently posted an article showing the breakdown between booking VS/DL/FB miles and how the rates/fees vary

Looking to book NYC-TLV in Feb '21. Plenty of saver award seats in biz available on United. I have many Citi TYP, and Amex MR. Which program would be the best to transfer the points to to book?
Just in case something goes wrong and I will need to change/ cancel the tickets, I'd rather avoid airlines that a) are on verge of bankruptcy, and b) airlines which are very difficult with changes even in special situations.
