Homeless for Shabbos: Halacha and Practical Questions

What if your flight was delayed and you only arrived to the airport hotel after shabbos starts. Is it OK to give them your credit card for a deposit? The money will only be charged after shabbos. What would you do? Any stories?

Won't answer your question but I recall a crazy TR of someone who had to spend Shabbos at JFK. Anyone remember who/where it is?

i got stuck 3 times for shabbos but bH i got to my place before shabbos started (twice by random people, once in hotel)
