Bump on the first question.
May be a stretch to get a 4th seat in F, but can happen. I would try the F at a different date and downgrade if/when it opens. May be a bit risky to get two seats and hope two more open up. If only one opens you need to pay cancellation fee.

Anybody notice Etihad showing phantom availability with married segment? eg SYD-JFK showing J5 and AUH-JFK showing J0 and therefore not bookable.

It's bookable, you just need the rep to search as a married segment and not seperately.

Thanks, that worked with AA.
I tried another time with VA and the agents received an error when they try to issue the ticket.

BTW VA doesn't charge for infants and it can added while booking online.

Are there phantom award problems with EY website? Or have they changed partner award access? AA can't see many dates that show 1-3 F seats in Guest First on Etihad website.  Even Jetihad seats are not visible to AA agent! Or is this a case of HUCA and DROPR?

Call the Aussie AA number.

They were not serving long life meals in August.

Stogel is precisely what I was referring to. Hardly qualifies as food at all

Seems that moish is the only one to ever have positive experiences with them.  ;D

The kosher meals were from Stogel, but unlike what I’ve gotten from Stogel on European flights (barely edible) these meals were actually pretty good. The cold cut sandwich ‘snack’ was especially delicious.

ive had some good stogels

Ha ha didn't realize that's what you meant.  Thought you meant real shelf stable food.
To me, with rare exceptions, KSML is never something to take into account when traveling by air.  You get what you get and none of it - not even the beloved Hermolis - makes or breaks a flight. It's airplane food for crying out loud. Just BYOK.
Depending on how fresh/frozen it is, I've had some Borenstein that's better than Hermolis.  Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw, but it's still apples to apples.
Maybe El Al F is different, but you pay a different price for that experience.

Seems like EY blocked non guest members from searching awards, you now need to login.
