actually Israel don't even stamp your passport anymore (i think partly for this reason)
-0.5

They do at some boarder crossings.

More like -0.01  ;)

I would assume 99% of entries to israel are via TLV

Yes. From what I heard, a stamp still should not be an issue, but they won't accept an Israeli passport as identification as they don't recognize Israel as a country.

So can anyone confirm if it's possible to this route with an Israeli passport or not?

I do but my wife only has a green card. obviously is she had an american one it wouldn't be an issue

EDIT: i actually just found this, so it would seem they would be ok with an Israeli passport, assuming this is till their policy, although would still love to hear from anyone who knows for sure

would the stopover in AUH be an issue?

Why don't you tweet them and ask yourself, that way you'd have something to show, it could be useful.

Not sure an airport agent would be impressed by a tweet, even if it's from an official company rep.

Aren't there any Israelis here?

Trying to book Etihad Apartment AUH-SYD or SYD-AUH, but seems to be absolutely no award space released on the A380, only on the 777... Lucky writes that they do open up the A380 but i can't find any.

here

Is booking the 777 with 60K AA and then hoping the A380 opens up a safe strategy?

well LHR AUH is always open

AUH SYD hasn't been open recently, but Etihad award space is unpredictable so keep on checking.

I'll never understand this question with the advent of BYOK.

Gary has a post about the new fare structure. Seems like J and F passengers only get priority check-in base on status.

I'll read his post later, but will that apply to already-booked tickets?  I'm flying F in two weeks but booked months ago.

He wrote that he will still go to priority check-in. I can't imagine they will turn you away.
