Which is ridiculous, IMHO.

Email the CEO of EY to get a KSML in the lounge? While at it, I'd just go ahead and ask if they can arrange getting the meal flown in from Shallots.

Only 2 F seats were available so son and DW had F while I was ticketed in J (son must be ticketed in same cabin as adult). Now DW doesn't want to bring son. Tickets were on separate PNRs.

Then impressive indeed. Does the ticket show as being valid for 12 months from today or 12 months from the original issue date?

From first hand experience, it can be challenging to get them to change names on EY tickets even when the reservation is still on hold.

It might have helped that last name was the same. They sent a "name correction" request to EY, and EY changed the reservation within a few hours.
