Please read the question carefully before answering:

Does anyone know if my wife, traveling on her Israeli passport can transit in AUH (or DOH)?
Looking for someone with experience please.

I'd email the UAE consulate in NY and ask

And if they say its ok I'd make sure to print the email to show as proof to some overzealous check-in agent

I don't have experience, but based on the fact that you are merely in transit, you should not need a visa, so I think the point is moot.

See below for applying for a visa if you plan to leave the airport (Israel is not on the list of countries eligible for automatic visa on arrival in either Qatar or UAE, but you can select it in the drop-down menu to apply in advance):

Etihad is having an incredible sale on several of their routes including New York to Istanbul or Singapore. The flights can be booked in business class for only $1179 one-way or $1970 round-trip to Istanbul or $2391 round-trip to Singapore.

Transit in AUH doesn't require passport control.  Leaving Airport obviously does.  Preclearance in AUH may raise some eyebrows of some local staff in AUH with an Israeli passport, but it's USA passport control, so it's not an issue.  Did not travel on Israeli passport, but that's my experience both transit and leaving Airport.  Not sure about DOH, but upon arrival, it seemed like access to the rest of the airport was without passport control (I left the airport).

I booked the chauffeur service gave them the address and they said it's confirmed. The problem is the address is over the mileage limit. They did not mention anything about it, will I be charged the difference?

It's too bad I missed out on both the one in AUH and MEL. When I was there a year ago they were also "planning to open it."

On Twitter they said by the end of May. I believe they're clueless.
I Sure do hope it's open by the end of May.

Are the partner routing rules the same as the partner's?

Booking AA allows connections and 25% MPM?

According to the Etihad redemption chart for AA (http://www.etihadguest.com/Documents/Etihad%20Guest/member%20benefits/American-Airlines-redemption.pdf), the economy off-peak dates between the mainland USA and HI are "January 12-March 8, August 22, and December 15".

It seems odd to have two specific off-peak dates like that. Is it possible they meant August 22 through December 15?

Also according to the Etihad redemption chart for AA (http://www.etihadguest.com/Documents/Etihad%20Guest/member%20benefits/American-Airlines-redemption.pdf), an off-peak flight from North America to Europe would be 20,000 miles. Would that be the mileage required from NYC and from YYZ, even though the flight from YYZ would require an extra leg (YYZ-NYC), and AA would require more miles for that flight if booked through AA directly?

It's very possible. That's how it is using Alaska miles.

When booking on AA using Etihad miles pursuant to their partner chart, can I only book on AA metal, or on any flight which can be found on the AA website? For example, I see that AA flies from NYC to TFS, but the flights are with Air Berlin. Will that work?

No. But in this case EY partners with AB, so you'd have to check their award chart.

Thanks. So it has to be AA metal all the way? Then why does their chart list many cities in Europe to which AA doesn't fly with their own planes?

And regarding the Air Berlin chart, is the distance calculated between the original and destination, or does it also include stop-overs? Meaning, would I calculate, for example, the distance between JFK to MAD, or JFK to DUS to MAD?

Also,
