Anyone recently flown J/F via AUH and received chauffeur in AUH despite booking via partner, similar to what's done in DXB with EK?

I managed to book it online on EY site, but then got an email that was not eligible (I tried to book it for JFK outband though)

Yes, I know officially that partner awards are ineligible, and booking one online, even tho it appears to go through, will be nonetheless rejected.

Was wondering if it can be done in AUH by just walking to chauffeur desk, a la EK.

Based on my JFK-AUH-MLE AA F award experience in May (where AUH was a stop-over and thus ineligible), if there is no car waiting for you (which there wasn't since we were ineligible due to AUH being a stop-over on a single award) they will manually check your eligibility at the arrivals lounge or Limo desk, and in our case told us we weren't eligible (though, interestingly, didn't know from reading their screens the basis of such ineligibility).

So you were told at limo desk it was a no go?

Bummer.  From your experience, seems like EY's system tells them if ineligible at limo desk.  FWIW, EK's system is apparently different; they'll just put you in the next waiting limo, IME.

correct. There was no line of cars waiting to take people. You had to actually stop and speak to an EY employee who had ability to determine eligibility. Worth a try I suppose, but perhaps best not to make non-refundable plans to travel somewhere you're not willing to pay an Uber to take you to. My 15 minute uberX ride to the Rosewood Abu Dhabi was 57 AED, so I wasn't going to push it and look to see if someone else was standing outside next to a line of cars.

FWIW, booking EY through NH still gets chauffer service.

Its only booking through AA which you don't get.

Thank you for the data point. I had this question coming back from my honeymoon but I wasn't gonna risk it without enough data.

I really don't mean to be annyoing but I want to be 100% sure: Your wife used an Israeli passport right? Not some other passport with an Israeli entry stamp.

Yes Israeli passport. I completely understand you I was a little worried as well but end of the day was no issue at all, not on plane (where we happily shared she was from Israel) or in AUH security / transit hotel

In MLE the immegration lady was more surprised by my US passport picture showing my with a kippa (she called 3 of her friends to show them) then by DW Israeli passport

Date is free, change of origin or destination should incur $150 fee.
